Mastering workshop voor CD en Myspace

In deze gratis workshop legt Tom Van Achte (mastering engineer van TVA Music Company) de mogelijkheden uit voor de afwerking van een bestaande mix.
Vooreerst komen de basisprincipes aan bod. Daarna gaat de aandacht uit naar de verschillen in een goede premastering voor CD én premastering voor Myspace.
Uiteraard komen ook praktische voorbeelden aan bod van hoe je best kan masteren in Wavelab. Deze workshop is een aanrader voor iedereen die op een graag met opnames aan de slag gaat.

As a French musician , mastering engineer and maintenance technician for world class recording and mixing facilities, Olivier Bolling perfectly knows the needs of recording and mixing engineers. His philosophy is: "doing what others manufacturers don't do".

The AL.SO Dynax² is more than an ordinary compressor, it is designed as a Dynamic Sound Shaper, a creative tool meant for the creative sound engineers.

Conceived around very low distortion circuits, the Dynax² allows for a wide range of effects, starting with the smoothest and most transparent compression, and going to the harshest and most spectacular sound designs. Both "attack" and "release" knobs permit a graduated change of values to reshape the sound and create a new envelope.

During this workshop, Olivier will explain his design and maybe show some new designs.

Mastering Workshop voor de home-studio

Tijdens deze masterclass legt Tom Van Achte van TVA Music Company je alle geheimen van Mastering uit.

Wat is mastering? Mastering is een proces dat na de eindmix van de studio-opnames plaatsvindt en is dus de laatste stap, voordat je de cd laat persen. Mastering moet ervoor zorgen dat het album als één geheel gaat klinken en op de radio gespeeld kan worden.

Tom zal ook uitleggen hoe compressie en EQ je gemixte nummers kunnen verbeteren en waar je moet op letten als je cd’s wil branden voor duplicatie. Tijdens en na de masterclass is er voldoende tijd voor al je vragen.

In deze IDeal Audio-masterclass legt Fred Thomas van TC Electronic je alle geheimen van reverb uit. Zo kom je te weten wat het verschil is tussen een gated, room, hall, ambience, convolution en spring reverb. Fred zal ook alle parameters van een reverb uitleggen zoals decay, early reflexions, diffusion, reverb size, ... zodat je leert hoe je de reverb op bvb een stem, drum of key's beter in je stereo of surround mix plaatsen. Gratis Workshop Akoestiek - dinsdag 13 februari 2007 @ Het Depot Leuven

Tijdens deze workshop maken geluidsingenieur Stefaan Geens & Stefan Nemeth je wegwijs in alle fabels, geheimen en weetjes ivm akoestiek. Zo kom je onder andere te weten hoe je best je repetitieruimte isoleert, wat staande golven zijn, hoe een diffuser werkt, wat de 'ideale’ plaatsing is van je luidsprekers en of het eigenlijk wel zijn heeft om kartonnen eierdozen tegen de muur te hangen...

Stefaan & Stefan zullen ook tonen hoe je de akoestische eigenschappen van een ruimte kan meten en hoe je deze informatie dan moet interpreteren. Er is ook voldoende tijd voorzien voor al je vragen.
